Field Safety Reminders

Use DropTine alongside basic field safety habits, not instead of them.

• • Always identify your target and what is beyond it.
• • Treat every firearm as loaded.
• • Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
• • Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
• • Wear blaze orange when required or appropriate.
• • Use a safety harness in elevated stands.
• • Tell someone where you are hunting and when you expect to return.
• • Carry a charged phone, flashlight or headlamp, water, and basic first aid.
• • Do not rely only on app check-ins for safety.
• • Follow all state game laws and lease rules.

Emergency Broadcasts

Emergency broadcasts depend on several things working correctly at the same time:

• • The recipient's device being on and charged
• • Internet or cellular service being available
• • The user's notification settings allowing the alert through
• • The app and its servers being available at that moment

Check-Ins & Maps Are Tools

Check-ins and the lease map are helpful tools for knowing who is on the property, but they should not be treated as the only safety system. People forget to check in, devices lose signal, and circumstances change quickly in the field.
